Happy Socks X WeSc
A happy marriage of fashion…
I don’t know about you by I can already feel the affects of S.A.D setting in. The only positive I have managed to glean from Summer to Autumn, aside from having a further excuse to stay in and watch guilty pleasures on the box, is the fact we can purchase new clothes to prepare us for the doom.
So, if buying new cosy jumpers, snuggly socks and wind shielding jackets is our remedy, why not go one step further and ensure you buy the most cheerful of garb out there.

My Interview with Fall Out Boy at Reading Festival (HIT THE FLOOR)
The news that Fall Out Boy were returning was almost enough to encourage a party at Hit The Floor HQ – but as ‘professionals’ we have to try and stifle such bias. But we scrapped that mentality when we heard they were returning to the Reading and Leeds main stage for the first time since 2009, and allowed ourselves to get thoroughly excited.
Whenever a much loved band returns from a hiatus with a new album they are always running the risk of tainting their previous legacy…so there was much relief when the boys revealed then splendid ‘Save Rock and Roll” and proved they still had that pretty special genre bending formula. When it was their time in the Reading press room the small space suddenly became the busiest place on site, and whole bunch of new ‘press’ people seemed to emerge. Amongst the chaos Sophie Eggleton managed to catch a few words with Pete Wentz and a few less with Andy Hurley about the new album, Reading festival and what they may do next….

My interview with Flux Pavilion at Reading Festival (HIT THE FLOOR)
During our weekend at Reading Festival we got to visit to an assortment of dressing rooms, all kitted out in their own unique and occasionally unusual ways. But If we were allowed to takeover one it would have to be Joshua Steele's, otherwise known as Flux Pavilion. The young English producer and DJ has a hugely successful career that sees him invited to perform at all manner or exotic, glamorous and sunny locations, so it was only right that he try and bring a bit of that lifestyle to Reading. I've had bands light up cigarettes (Justice) and munch on gummy bears (Mr Hudson), but this is the first time an interviewee has been brought a Mojito during our chat....and boy did it look delicious. Attempting to remain professional Sophie Eggleton declined indulging in the tropical beverage while asking Flux whether he is any closer to his dream of owning a Segway and working with The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas, what it was like working with certified 'pop stars,' and how he is adapting his live show to show off his many musical skills....

My Interview with Sons and Lovers at Reading Festival (HIT THE FLOOR)
There was a definite aura of glee surrounding the Sons and Lovers boys, and you can't blame after the year they've had. Although featuring seasoned musicians, the band is relatively new on the scene but already have an achingly awesome list of achievements on their resume. Not only have they toured with arguably one of the best pop songwriters of our generation, Ryan Tedder of One Republic, they have supported current number one babe Ellie Goulding. Sophie Eggleton joined the boys for a quick chat to bask in their happiness and to find out how they prepared for their Reading Festival performance and intend to top crowd surfing to Carly Rae Jepson.

My Interview with Wretch 32 at Reading Festival (HIT THE FLOOR)
The last couple of years have been pretty fantastic for Tottenham's Wretch 32 -- they have seen him celebrate a number one, have the honour of performing at the Royal Albert Hall for the Urban Classic Proms, and at Hyde Park for the Olympics (partnering with Adidas and Coca Cola for Olympic campaigns). He is not content with simply enjoying his success and the rewards it brings though, he also offers words of advice and support through his work with the Princes Trust. You'd think this wordsmith has all the attributes to make him one 'cool' guy, but it seems his son would disagree!
