The Launch of the Love Hate Social Club

On the 16th of November my crew and I headed to London for the launch of The LoveHate London Social Club, an exciting joint venture between long time friends; renowned recording artist, broadcaster, and all round cool dude Huey Morgan and Ami James, the world famous tattoo artist and creative force and face of LoveHate Tattoo Studios, as featured on the hit TV show Miami Ink.

Based within the ever pumping heart of Notting Hill, this new space meets the demands of high end clientele, celebrities and global fans that will undoubtedly flock to this unique tattoo parlour. A space where art, music, dynamic creativity and innovation come together in this inspiring studio and ‘social club’ on the streets of London.  Ami leads the artistic teams and has handpicked the best talent from all over the world to provide the stellar ink work. Their elite roster of resident and guest artists bring an extraordinary amount of talent to the table, showcasing some of the best female and male ink artists in the world.

LoveHate London will be modelled on the highly successful ‘LoveHate Wooster Street Social Club’ based in the heart of Soho NYC. LoveHate London will be taking this all-encompassing philosophy and developing it one step further with the addition of music and entertainment. Huey Morgan will curate musical entertainment to an eclectic crowd which will no doubt be as varied as his own musical taste, showcased by his various records and radio shows.

We'd  planned to interview Huey and Ami on the night of the launch, but when we arrived half hour before the scheduled start time, the place was already completely rammed. The event had somehow gone viral and spurred Tattoo and Huey/Ami fans to travel great distances in the hope to be meet and get inked on the launch night. Apparently the team had been working non stop since the morning, meaning tha much of the planned press and party planning had to go out of the window. A positive sign of things to come though...

With the fantastic interior, courtesy of Huey's wife who clearly has a great eye for design, the second to none artistic talent , the great location, unique ethos, with the added bonus of alt beauties like El Wood on reception, there is no doubting it will be one of London's hottest creative destinations.
